The Economic Development Commission is your business advocate in Newtown.

An appointed nine member commission works directly with business owners as their advocate in Newtown. This advocacy can be accomplished through face-to-face meetings, site visits, public gatherings, email edc@newtown.org and other forms of communication.

Commission members collaborate with other government agencies and private organizations to help promote Newtown’s business community. The EDC will work to coordinate efforts, provide information about available business services and opportunities and assist businesses to navigate through the permitting process. The Commission’s goal is to build a business friendly environment in Newtown.
