Newtown is home to many talented artists, providing the community with vibrant exhibitions, theater, talent and cultural creativity. Local artists may be seen painting the scenery at Rams Pasture, along Main Street, in Sandy Hook Village, along the Pootatuck River, and many other public parks. The scenic historic villages, open pastures, meadows and woodlands provide the perfect backdrop for local and visiting artists in which to work.
